We are a club with very few rules beyond what
common sense and etiquette dictate. Certain court times are fairly
popular, so there is a reservation system that has worked very well
since the inception of the club. The Board of Trustees has the
right to pre-empt time when a club event is scheduled.
Reservations are for one hour, but play
can continue if there is no one scheduled after your hour. Only
one hour can be reserved in advance for any member.
Reservations are taken by
members who are Haworth residents, and
posted as specified
HOURS OF PLAY
The hours of play are limited to the period between 8:00 AM and 11:00
PM every day in accordance with our original agreement with the borough,
and we must remain closed during the time the Haworth Swim Club is open,
which runs from Memorial Day until Labor Day.
We expect that the facilities will be left in equal or better
condition than what you found when arriving. Any debris left on
the courts, deck, or in the hut should be cleaned up even if you are not
the person having left it there.

privileges per guest per September through May season. A guest
may play a maximum of 1 time per month.

Each membership is defined as a family
Application is made to the Board of
Trustees with a $50.00 deposit.
Upon acceptance, the annual membership
fee is due, less the deposit. The dues for the 2011/2012
season are $375.00.
Dues for existing members are payable
Members who participate in league play
are required to pay for the expenses of such play (League dues,
balls, & refreshments). Other
organized club events are at no additional cost to the membership.
A member family is entitled to
unlimited play within our rules, and can participate in all
organized club events.
In addition to the regular dues, there
is a non-refundable initiation fee of $600.00 paid over a four year
period as follows: Year 1 - $200.00, Year 2 - $175.00, Year 3
- $125.00, Year 4 - $100.
The Board of
Trustees has the authority to impose assessments on the
membership in equal shares to cover any extraordinary expenses
The Board of
Trustees has the authority to suspend or expel any membership
for conduct detrimental to the interests of the club.
We have by-laws that govern our relationship with the Borough of
Haworth, since the club is located on town property. We pay a
nominal fee each year under a long term lease agreement, as well as our
share of property taxes. Our relationship with the town has been

Member taking reservations starts the
week on Sunday evening at 7:30.
Reservations are taken each night from
7:30 to 8:30 except on Saturday, when they will be taken from
5:00 to 6:00 pm.
Sheets are to be posted at the courts
on Saturday by 9:00 pm and other days by 9:00 am on
the morning of play.
If you are assigned to reservation
taking and will not be available to take the reservations, PLEASE
TAKE THE RESERVATION SLIPS TO YOUR BACK-UP for whichever day(s)
you will not be available to take the calls. If neither of you
can do it, reservations will be taken by Linda or Mark Greene at
387-1347. In either case, please give at least one day notice and

TAKEN ON DECEMBER 24th, 25th, 31st,
AND JANUARY 1st. Members wishing to reserve time for the
days following the above may do so at the court.
First name noted on the list is
the primary reservation person for the designated week. The
second name is the back-up.

The dates listed below are for the nights the reservations are
taken, not the day of play.
